Bodysuits

Alexia’s handmade bodysuits were originally created for Carnaval, the perfect place for nearly naked attire and campy cutouts of fruit, hearts, flowers and more. Turns out, these irreverent designs couldn’t be contained to once-a-year wear, and began retailing at Browns London, Bergdorf Goodman and Moda Operandi. Over time, these pieces became a shorthand of Alexia’s atelier: fun and kitschy but with an undercurrent of elegance.

 

The different campaigns shown here, all art directed by Alexia, show how the bodysuit evolved over the years, feeling right at home on the festive streets of Rio or in Milan’s Vila Borsani.
